The Success Star

- Safety – A key component to facilitating change either on a personal level or organisational setting is creating a safe environment, where people are comfortable to communicate and to bring issues to the surface and are secure to discuss and explore new possibilities. This environment is maintained through the entire coaching/development process.
- Support – A supportive structure enables sustainable change to be embedded, this is due to it reducing the fear of trying out new possibilities and building confidence in the changes made. A supportive environment also enables greater possibilities for change and generates more opportunities as it reduces barriers and builds an independent and sustainable confidence in people.
- Stretch – With a safe environment created it is possible to explore the options and solutions in a way that is out of the normal comfort zone. New territories can be viewed leading to new ideas, new behaviours and processes, old messages and ways of working can be challenged and the start of moving toward new learning can be introduced.
- Shift – The key to making changes is making a shift in, thinking, feeling or behaviour and as a result something new happening. The shift is where powerful change takes place that moves things in a desired direction and where outdated habits are replaced and new targets set.
- Sustain – The key to any change both personal and organisational is to ensure that the best possible process is in place to maintain that change. By dealing with the pull of old thinking, feeling, behaviour, habits, and creating strategies for dealing with these the new changes made are sustained and a clear approach is defined.
